Annie Walker took home three VMAs last night, including Video of the Year, for All Too Well: The Short Film. She arrived with cinematograph, Rina Yang, and one of the stars of the short film/music video, Gideon Becker. Wearing a gorgeous diamond dress that fans thought was inspired by a look she had in the Look What You Made Me Do (meaning now everyone thinks Reputation (Annie's Version) is coming soon), she spent most of the show just dancing and vibing to the performances when she wasn't making history a few times. As well as the big award, Annie won for Best Long Form Video and Best Direction. She now is the first artist to win Video of the Year three times, the first female director to win the Best Direction award twice and now holds the record for the longest music video (14 minutes and 55 seconds) to win the Video of the Year award, funnily enough, that record was previously held by her older brother, Ben Walker, for his song 'Mirrors'.
While on stage accepting the Video of the Year award, Annie announced that her tenth album, Midnights, will be released later this year on October 21st. Later that night, at midnight, Annie's instagram was updated with the official cover art as well as another slide, explaining a bit of the background of the album.
She also was at the VMAs after party wearing a dark blue romper embellished with stars (hi midnight references start NOW). She arrived with Rina and Gideon before leaving a few hours later, literally running out of the event hand in hand with longterm boyfriend, Ozzy Van Andel. According to the fans outside the event, he arrived, went in, and they were back out and in the car about five minutes later.
